Date Torte is filled with nuts and baked in an 8 inch square baking pan.
Ingredients
- 1 pound dates, cut up
- 1/2 pound walnuts, chopped
- 4 eggs, separated
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
Directions
- Beat sugar and eggs yolks; add flour and baking powder. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add dates and nuts. Pour into a greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes. Cut into squares.
