Dark Chocolate Sauce tastes great on vanilla ice cream or right out of the pot!
- 3 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla
- In a small saucepan, combine chocolate with 1/2 cup water. Cook, over low heat and stirring occasionally, until chocolate is melted.
- Add sugar, salt; cook, stirring, until sugar has dissolved and mixture has thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Let cool or serve warm.
