Cumin adds an intense and distinctive shot of flavor when used in recipes. Toss this vinaigrette with hearty salads that include sliced steak, chicken or lamb.


  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon agave nectar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper


  1. Place the vinegar, agave nectar, mustard and cumin into a small bowl and vigorously whisk together to combine.
  2. Add sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, and then whisk once more to combine.
