Made with Grade B Vermont maple syrup Crock Pot Vermont Baked Beans are a slow cooked favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds yellow eye beans
  • 1 medium onion, quartered
  • 1/2 pound salt pork
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cups Grade B Vermont maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt

Directions

  1. Soak beans overnight in cold water in large saucepan. Bring water to a boil. Place onion in Crock Pot. Add beans and salt pork. Combine remaining ingredients with 1 pint boiling water. Pour over beans, adding more water if necessary to cover. Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours.
