Ingredients
- 1 to 2 lb. smokes sausage, cut into 1" slices
- 3 cans black beans, drained (15 oz. each)
- 1 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. leaf thyme
- 1 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 5 bay leaves
- 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)
- 1 c. water
- 3 cups hot boiled rice
Directions
- Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
- Drain well and transfer to crock pot.
- Combine remaining ingredients in crockpot.
- Dover and cook on low 8 hours or on high 4 hours. Remove bay leaves.
- Serve over cooked rice.
