This luxurious topping for ice cream and sweets is made with condensed milk, nutmeg and rum.  


  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons of dark rum


  1. Pour the rum into a medium saucepan and heat for about 2 minutes over medium-high heat until alcohol burns off.
  2. Pour in the cream and add the sugar, and whisk for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the condensed milk and sprinkle in the nutmeg and stir to combine.
