Cranberry Conserve gives a tangy burst to toasted and buttered English muffins.

Ingredients

  • 1 quart cranberries
  • 1/2 pound white raisins
  • 2 oranges, quartered
  • 1 cup English walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 can crushed pineapple
  • 1-1/2 pound sugar

Directions

  1. Wash cranberries and raisins; drain thoroughly. Grind oranges in food grinder. Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Boil, stirring constantly, for 8 minutes.
  2. Spoon into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space. Seal with paraffin. May be served hot or cold.
