Cranberry Conserve gives a tangy burst to toasted and buttered English muffins.
Ingredients
- 1 quart cranberries
- 1/2 pound white raisins
- 2 oranges, quartered
- 1 cup English walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 can crushed pineapple
- 1-1/2 pound sugar
Directions
- Wash cranberries and raisins; drain thoroughly. Grind oranges in food grinder. Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Boil, stirring constantly, for 8 minutes.
- Spoon into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/2 inch head space. Seal with paraffin. May be served hot or cold.
