Crab Soup in a Crock Pot

You can also use shrimp in place of the crab for this soup or use both.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups crab meat,
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 lemon peel strips
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon mace, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 tablespoons dry white wine

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except sherry and whole lemon in crock pot. Stir well.
  2. Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 5 hours.
  3. Just before serving, stir in sherry.
  4. Cut the lemon into wedges for garnish.
