You can also use shrimp in place of the crab for this soup or use both.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crab meat,
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 lemon peel strips
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 teaspoon mace, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 tablespoons dry white wine
Directions
- Combine all ingredients except sherry and whole lemon in crock pot. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low setting for 3 to 5 hours.
- Just before serving, stir in sherry.
- Cut the lemon into wedges for garnish.
