If you enjoy the taste of crab cake appetizers, then you will love these main dish crab cake burgers. Top each burger with some tartar sauce and serve.
Ingredients
- 1 pound crabmeat
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup light mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons minced chives
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 4 dashes hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
- 6 toasted hamburger buns
- Tartar sauce and lettuce to garnish
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together the crab, egg, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, chives, mustard, lemon juice, celery seed, onion powder, pepper and hot sauce until thoroughly combined. Make 6 patties with the crab mixture and set aside.
- Place the oil and the butter in a large skillet and heat over medium heat for 1 minute.
- Cook the patties for 4 minutes on each side and place on the prepared buns.
