Old fashioned collard greens.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of collard greens, washed
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspon salt
  • 1 1/2 pounds ham hocks

Directions

  1. Chop the greens in thirds. Place in a boiler. Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce to a slow boil, cover and cook until tender.
