Fried cornbread patties.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Mix together the first four ingredients. Stir in the boiling water until moistened. Allow to cool before shaping into patties. Fry in hot oil.
