The ultimate comfort food, create this simple and rich cornbread, creamed corn, sour cream and cheddar casserole as a weeknight family favorite.


  • 15 oz of cornbread mix
  • 2 cans creamed corn
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3/4 pint sour cream
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter


  1. Place the butter into a sauté pan and set over medium heat. Once melted, add the onion and sauté for 4 minutes until soft.
  2. In the meantime, combine the cornbread mix, milk, creamed corn, and eggs in a bowl, stir well to combine and then transfer to a 13x9-inch casserole pan.
  3. Top the cornbread mixture with the sour cream and then sprinkle with the sautéed onions followed by the cheddar cheese.
  4. Place the casserole in the oven and bake for 25 minutes. Serve immediately.
