A perfectly seasoned chicken recipe that goes perfectly with Indian flatbread such as naan or roti.
Ingredients
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cubed
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 3 heaped tbsp low-fat sour cream
- 2 tbsp evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Heat oil in a medium non-stick pan. Add onion and saute until brown. Mix in the ginger, garlic pastes, and lemon. Next add the cumin, coriander, chili, salt and a little water. Cook for about one minute.
- Increase the heat and add in chicken. Brown for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the sour cream and evaporated milk one tablespoon at a time.
- Mix well tossing to coat chicken. Add hot water if necessary. Simmer until the chicken is tender, about 4 minutes. Add the paprika and mix chicken well with sauce. Serve chicken with fresh coriander sprinkled on top.
