The two ounces of rum in the Coin Toss cocktail make the taste of the spirit really stand out in this mixed drink. However, the vermouth, Chartreuse, Bénédictine and bitters add complimentary herbal and aromatic undertones, which although understated, are still appreciated in the blend.


  • 2 ounces rum
  • 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 ounce yellow Chartreuse
  • 1/4 ounce Bénédictine
  • 2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters


  1. Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Slowly stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
