Coffee eggnog
Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup instant coffee
- dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk, chilled
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- shaved unsweetened chocolate
Directions
- In a small bowl, beat egg whites on high until soft peaks form. Beat in the sugar until stiff peaks form.
- In a large bowl, beat egg yolks until they are lemon colored. Slowly beat in coffee, salt, vanilla, milk and water.
- Stir in the small bowl mixture and whipped cream, mix well.
- Serve well chilled , sprinkled with the chocolate shavings.
