Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all purpose flour
Directions
- Combine whole wheat flour and yeast in saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water and next 4 ingredients. Warm slightly over low heat, mixing well. Beat in eggs. Add all purpose flour, mixing well. Batter will be lumpy.
- Grease 2 one-pound coffee cans, placing half of the batter in each. Let rise covered with plastic lids in warm place to 1 inch from top of can.
- Bake uncovered at 375 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes.
