Coconut milk, as opposed to regular milk or half-and-half, gives this cocktail a tropical flavor that melds well with the spicy taste of the dark rum.
- 2 ounces dark rum
- 6-3/4 ounces coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup
- grated nutmeg to garnish
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the nutmeg, into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish the drink with the grated nutmeg and then serve immediately.
