An Italian classic, Osso Buco is braised veal shin bones.
Ingredients
- 6 veal shin bones
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon sage
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon rosemary
- juice from 1 fresh lemon
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Flour bones and brown in butter and olive oil. Add seasonings, herbs, broth and wine. Let simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to taste.
