A traditional Christmas punch perfect to serve at your holiday party and family festivities. Garnish the punch with floating pieces of sliced lemon.


  • 2 bottles cabernet sauvignon
  • 1, 750 ml bottle aged rum
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 cups strong English tea
  • Sugar to taste
  • Thinly sliced lemon slices to garnish


  1. In a large pot, heat the cabernet sauvignon, rum, lemon, tea and sugar over moderate heat until simmering. Do not boil.
  2. Empty into a large punch bowl and carefully drop in the lemon slices to garnish.
