A cake frosted with Classic Buttercream Frosting freezes well.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
- dash of salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Mix cornstarch, salt and milk in a saucepan and cook until pastey. Let coo. Mix rest of ingredients with electric mixer until creamy. Add cooled mixture and beat until fluffy.
