Delicious chocolate pie with a meringue topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 eggs, yolk
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 pie crust (9 inch)

Directions

  1. Combine the sugar, milk, cocoa, egg yolks and thick. Heat on low until thick. Remove from the heat and add the butter and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  2. Pour into the pie crust, top with the meringue.
  3. To make the meringue, beat 3 eggs until stiff peaks form. Mix in 2 1/2 tablespoons and beat well. Spread over the pie.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.
