Delicious chocolate pie with a meringue topping.
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 eggs, yolk
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 pie crust (9 inch)
Directions
- Combine the sugar, milk, cocoa, egg yolks and thick. Heat on low until thick. Remove from the heat and add the butter and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
- Pour into the pie crust, top with the meringue.
- To make the meringue, beat 3 eggs until stiff peaks form. Mix in 2 1/2 tablespoons and beat well. Spread over the pie.
- Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown.
