This recipe for Chocolate Ganache is great to have on hand when you need a quick and delicious way to garnish cakes, cookies and other desserts.


  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half


  1. Put the chocolate chips and the half-and-half into a saucepan, and place over low heat.
  2. Stir the mixture continuously for about 2 minutes or until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is thoroughly blended. Use the ganache immediately.

I've made this many times and I love it. However, it can't be used immediately as it need some time to set. I also add a tablespoon of butter and it gives it a nice shine.
