Nothing beats the taste of fresh fruit dipped in chocolate. Try this version of strawberries and cherries coated in a creamy chocolate and macadamia nut sauce.
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons dark rum
- 1/4 cup finely chopped macadamia nuts
- 2 cups cherries
- 1 cup strawberries
- Place the chocolate, cream and macadamia nuts in a double boiler, mixing frequently until the chocolate has completely melted.
- Stir in the rum, mix well to combine and then transfer the mixture to a bowl. Dip the strawberries and cherries into the chocolate sauce and then place on a serving plate.
