Chocolate Chip Spritz are made with a cookie press.
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup coarsely grated semi sweet chocolate
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- Heat oven to 400 degrees F. In large mixer bowl combine sugar, butter, salt, egg and vanilla. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add flour and chocolate. Beat at low speed until well mixed, 2 to 3 minutes. Refrigerate 30 minutes to let dough firm up.
- Place in cookie press and form into desired shapes, 1 inch apart on cookie sheets. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
