Chiperoo Bars are chocolate and pecans at their best.
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup shortening, melted
- 1 (16 ounce) box brown sugar
- 2-3/4 cups flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Directions
- Combine first 2 ingredients in a bowl; set aside. Sift dry ingredients together; set aside. Beat eggs into brown sugar mixture. Add flour mixture slowly, mixing well. Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Spread in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
