A classic simple syrup is given a touch of heat with the addition of hot chiles. Use this syrup in your favorite cocktails to add a warm intensity and delightful spicy flavor.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 quartered hot chiles
Directions
- Place the water, sugar and chiles in a saucepan over medium-high heat and boil the mixture, stirring frequently, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Allow to cool before using, and store any leftover syrup in an air-tight jar in the refrigerator.
