Serve this dish with mashed potatoes and a salad. Use your left over liquid to make a gravy.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breast, cut up and skinned
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 16 oz can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. oregano, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 bay leaf
Directions
- Place onions on the bottom of a crock pot.
- Place chicken on top of onions.
- Layer the remaining ingredients in the order listed.
- Cover and cook on low 6 - 8 hours, or on high 2½ - 4 hours.
