Flavored with paprika and sour cream, Chicken Continental is easy to make and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2, 3 ounce cans broiled, sliced mushrooms, undrained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 ounces noodles, cooked and drained
Directions
- Combine flour, salt and pepper int a large plastic bag. Shake chicken pieces in bag until well coated. Brown chicken in hot oil until browned on all sides; add onion, garlic, lemon juice, broth and mushrooms with liquid. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
- Stir in noodles and cook 10 minutes longer. Top each serving with large spoonfuls of sour cream and sprinkle with paprika.
