These sweet cookies always hit the spot for a quick afternoon snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2-1/2 cups oats
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1-1/3 cups dried cranberries
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
- Cream shortening, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and baking powder. Blend into egg mixture. Fold in cranberries and nuts.
- Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
