Consider serving this sweet crumb cake at your next Fourth of July summer barbecue.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 2 cans cherry pie filling
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
Directions
- Mix together 1/4 cup butter, eggs, 1-1/4 cups sugar, baking powder, vanilla, milk and 2-1/4 cups flour. Press into the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Spread cherry pie filling evenly over top of the crust.
- In a small bowl, mix together remaining flour, butter and sugar until mixture becomes crumbly. Sprinkle over top of cherry pie filling.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
