British Bulldog gin is the backbone spirit behind this rich and luscious port, cherry, anise and lime cocktail.


  • 2-1/2 ounces Bulldog Gin
  • 1 barspoon ruby port
  • 4 Bing cherries, pitted
  • 1 piece star anise
  • 2 lime wedges
  • 1 barspoon demerara sugar
  • cherries to garnish


  1. Place the cherries, anise, lime and sugar into a cocktail shaker and muddle to combine.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the garnish, to the shaker and then fill with ice.
  3. Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then double strain into a cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish the drink with the cherries and then serve immediately.
