This is great for dipping asparagus spears, mushrooms, french bread or other vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 3/4 cup water
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz Gruyere cheese, grated
- 8 oz Swiss cheese, grated
Directions
- Combine wine, water, lemon juice, nutmeg, and pepper in a bowl.
- Place the cheeses in a double boiler.
- Stir in the wine mixture.
- Heat and stir until cheese has melted and has a smooth consistency.
- Pour mixture into a fondue pot.
