Cheesy and savory, Cheese Drop Biscuits taste great with a steaming bowl of chili.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Crisco
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions

  1. Mix first 3 ingredients; add all others. Make small walnut size pieces and drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until brown.
