Cheesy and savory, Cheese Drop Biscuits taste great with a steaming bowl of chili.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup Crisco
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 3 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
- Mix first 3 ingredients; add all others. Make small walnut size pieces and drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until brown.
