Cheese Dish is a casserole that is made ahead and refrigerated overnight.  Serve for brunch to satisfy any cheese lover.


  • 15 slices white bread, crusts trimmed and cubed
  • 10 ounces sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 3 cups milk
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • salt, pepper and paprika


  1. Put half of the bread cubes on bottom of well-greased, large casserole dish. Slice cheese thin and put on bread; season with salt, pepper and paprika.
  2. Beat eggs, add milk, pour over top. Add melted butter and place in refrigerator overnight. Take out 1 hour before baking. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40 minutes.
