So elegant, Cheese and Egg Souffle is a hit with everyone. 

Ingredients

  • 4 cups crouton
  • 13 ounces Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 dozen eggs
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Topping: 1 pound bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • snipped chives

Directions

  1. Mix eggs, milk, salt, mustard, onion powder and pepper. Put croutons and cheese in 9 by 13 inch greased baking dish. Pour liquid mixture over top of croutons and cheese.
  2. Bake covered with aluminum foil for 45 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake an additional 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with bacon and chives.
