The Charles Cocktail is considered the French cousin of the classic Manhattan. Its Angostura bitters, sweet vermouth and brandy blend makes quite a chic drink.

Ingredients

1 dash Angostura bitters
3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
3/4 ounce brandy

Directions

Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Slowly stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
