This simple recipe makes a buttery and crunchy dessert treat the entire family will enjoy. You can also substitute the cashews for any other kind of nut you may fancy.


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1-1/2 cup salted cashew pieces


  1. Place the sugar, butter and corn syrup into a 2 quart saucepan and place over low heat.
  2. Stir the mixture occasionally until it reaches 290 degrees, then remove from the heat and add the cashews. Stir to coat.
  3. Transfer the cashew mixture to a large piece of wax paper and let cool before breaking into pieces.
