Infusing Guinness beer with cardamom and cinnamon adds delicate notes of both spices to this rich and flavorful mixture.


  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 1 medium cinnamon stick
  • 8 ounces Guinness beer


  1. Place the cardamom and the cinnamon stick into a saucepan and gently muddle.
  2. Pour in the Guinness beer and bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 1-1/2 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool. Strain into an airtight jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
