Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/3 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 36 caramels

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, cook and stir caramels, water and butter over low heat until caramels are thoroughly melted. Remove from heat; set aside.
  2. Mix together eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt.
  3. Stir in caramel mixture.
  4. Fold in chopped pecans.
  5. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
