Homemade caramel coated popcorn.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 cup white syrup
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 6 quarts popped corn

Directions

  1. Combine the butter, syrup and sugar. Boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from the heat and mix in the cream of tartar, salt and soda. Continue stirring until foamy.
  3. Pour over the popped corn, mix, and spread on a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
