Homemade caramel coated popcorn.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1/2 cup white syrup
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 6 quarts popped corn
Directions
- Combine the butter, syrup and sugar. Boil for 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from the heat and mix in the cream of tartar, salt and soda. Continue stirring until foamy.
- Pour over the popped corn, mix, and spread on a cookie sheet.
- Bake at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
