Caramel Chews are a combo of chocolate and caramel.  Make an extra batch because they freeze well. 

Ingredients

  • 50 Kraft caramels
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 box German Chocolate cake mix
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1, 6 ounce bag chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Add nuts. Mix cake mix with butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Place half of batter in a 9 by 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 6 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Add caramel mixture. Spread rest of cake mix on top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Refrigerate 30 minutes before cutting.
