Carmel pecan homemade candy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 1/3 cups corn syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup btuter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped

Directions

  1. Combine 1 cup cream, syrup and sugar over low heat. Stir constantly until it boils. Gradually add in the remaining cream and the butter. Cook until it reaches the hard ball stage. Stir in the vanilla.
  2. Cover the bottom of a 10 inch square pan with the pecans. Pour the mixture over. Allow to stand for 6-8 hours before cutting into squares.
