Low-fat maple syrup and allspice baked acorn squash side dish.
- 2 acorn squash
- 4 tablespoons "lite" maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons low-fat margarine
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- Slice the squash in half. Remove the strings and seeds. Arrange, cut side up, in a baking dish.
- Place 1 tablespoon syrup, 1/2 teaspoon of margarine, and a sprinkle of allspice in both halves. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes.
