A classic cocktail that dates all the way back to 1806, this Canadian whiskey, gomme syrup and Angostura bitters blend is certainly an enduring mixed drink.
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 teaspoons gomme syrup
- 2 ounces Canadian Club whiskey
- Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Vigorously shake the mixture for 35 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass; serve immediately.
