Campfire Stew can be made on the range or home on the range where the deer and the antelope play!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 8 small onions, cut in half
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 6 carrots, cut in 2 inch slices
- 4-6 potatoes, quartered
Directions
- Brown ground beef and onions in vegetable oil. Add salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- Add vegetables, sugar and water. Cover and cook slowly until vegetables are tender.
