Mirto is a slightly bitter Sardinian liqueur made from myrtle berries and leaves. Try it in this cocktail blended with rye, vermouth and orange and Angostura bitters.


  • 1-1/2 ounces Rittenhouse Rye
  • 1 ounce Amber Vermouth
  • 1/2 ounce Mirto
  • 1 dash Orange Bitters
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Orange peel to garnish


  1. Place all of the ingredients, except for the orange peel, into a cocktail shaker and then fill with ice.
  2. Stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
  3. Garnish the drink with the orange peel and then serve immediately.
