Mirto is a slightly bitter Sardinian liqueur made from myrtle berries and leaves. Try it in this cocktail blended with rye, vermouth and orange and Angostura bitters.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 ounces Rittenhouse Rye
- 1 ounce Amber Vermouth
- 1/2 ounce Mirto
- 1 dash Orange Bitters
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters
- Orange peel to garnish
Directions
- Place all of the ingredients, except for the orange peel, into a cocktail shaker and then fill with ice.
- Stir the mixture for 30 seconds and then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish the drink with the orange peel and then serve immediately.
