Butterscotch Delight Cookies are made with oatmeal.

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 1/2 cups white sugar
2 1/2 cups shortening
5 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla
1/4 cup milk
5 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
5 cups quick oats

Directions

Combine sugars, shortening, vanilla, eggs and milk; mix until smooth. Sift dry ingredients and add all at once to egg mixture. Beat until smooth. Add oats and mix well.
Drop by tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Place 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Allow to cool on sheet for 1 minute before removing.
