Butterscotch Delight Cookies are made with oatmeal.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 2 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 1/2 cups shortening
- 5 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup milk
- 5 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 5 cups quick oats
Directions
- Combine sugars, shortening, vanilla, eggs and milk; mix until smooth. Sift dry ingredients and add all at once to egg mixture. Beat until smooth. Add oats and mix well.
- Drop by tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Place 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Allow to cool on sheet for 1 minute before removing.
