Traditional buttermilk pancakes from scratch.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Oil

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together, beat until smooth. Use the oil to coat a griddle.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup of batter onto the hot griddle at a time. Turn the pancake once bubbles form in the batter.
