Cooking asparagus in a fresh butter and vegetable broth sauce helps bring out the flavor of this delicate vegetable.


  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Broth
  • 2 pounds asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 6 tablespoon butter


  1. Pour the broth into a large sauté pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Place the asparagus in the pan and cook for 2 minutes, then add the butter and cook over medium heat for an additional 5 minutes.
