Butter Cream Frosting is great for piping onto sugar cookies.


  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon cream


  1. Cream butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients and stir until mixture is thick and creamy. If a thicker frosting is desired for pastry tube decorations additional sifted confectioners' sugar may be added.
